Bookmarin is a personal non-commercial blog devoted to readers, writers, and books in all aspects. In a nutshell, it is a reader’s diary, where I keep different interesting, beautiful, and soul-pleasing stuff from the book world: poetry and prose, literature for children and adults, books for education, fiction and non-fiction, classics and novelties, books in art, biographies, illustrations, bookshops, and libraries around the world – here you’ll find that all.
A couple of words about me as a founder and author of Bookmarin. I am Marina Yalanska, and from the first line I managed to read by myself, I live the life that is inextricably interwoven with languages and literature. Letters are my second air to breathe. I’m a linguist by qualification, and for many years my main job has been teaching languages to adults and children. In recent years, I combine teaching and translation with diverse research and writing articles in the sphere of design and technologies; you can check more about that here. And for soul labor, I have started this blog with a simple mission: to share what I know and have with those who are interested. To save someone’s time on looking for a book, to discuss the classics and new stuff, to remember the wisest thoughts from favorite stories, to be inspired and puzzled, and get stunned reviewing artworks by great illustrators and dive into the atmosphere of library halls. If you are also into it, welcome to join!
